After recently seeing Pamela Bellwood and James Sutorius play a married couple (she was a bigamist) in a Murder, She Wrote rerun, I could easily picture them interacting on Dynasty as well. In season 6, Claudia could have tried to persuade Gordon Wells to write an article about Blake’s attempt to take her oil well; an affair might even have developed from that. As for Claudia: why wasn't she Walter's daughter, anyway? The dynamic surrounding Matthew—who viewed his father-in-law as a father figure yet cheated on his daughter—could have provided plenty of conflict in the first season. For some reason, I imagine Stephanie Beacham and George Hamilton would have had great chemistry; Joel could have appeared in season 2 of The Colbys as an art dealer—using a pseudonym and without Rita—and shared charming scenes with Sable. Perhaps he could have even helped her kidnap her grandson. Since Andrew Laird didn't have an exit storyline, I would have given him one: Alexis—upon running into a tipsy Andrew—realizes he has always had a thing for her. She immediately capitalizes on this by seducing him—or dangling the prospect of sex—to get him to forge Blake's will. Ultimately, the truth would have come out, and Blake would have banished Andrew from his life.
