[QUOTE="Snarky Oracle!, post: 259127, member: 57984"] Angie also revealed in a fairly recent interview her awareness that Season 1 was the best year of the series, and attributed the devolution in quality after that to the removal of an NBC liaison (apparently a very good one) routinely assigned by the network to first season shows in order to make sure they got off and running on the right foot. She said he was the best one there (behind the camera) so it seems the regular producers, though competent weren't up to the job of keeping it special. So it dropped. I'm paraphrasing.
